The Position

As the Regional Benefits Coordinator, you will report to the Head of Human Resources, North America and be the liaison between the local sites, benefit vendors and the payroll team(s) to ensure the benefits meet the needs of the people to retain and attract talent.  You will also be responsible for ensuring we are meeting legal requirements at State and Federal levels.  This position plays a key role in harmonizing the US Datwyler benefits and supports the goals of the company's growth by providing strategic guidance to keep us competitive in the market.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Evaluates effectiveness of benefits packages, coverage, and options available through Insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization with a focus on service and cost.
  2. Works with broker and vendor to provide best practices and attract highly qualified employees.
  3. Ensures benefit plans comply with relevant legislation and regulation.
  4. Owns and manages enrollment processes, off boarding benefits and COBRA processes. 
  5. Plans and manages open enrollments.
  6. Works in close cooperation with HR, Finance and leadership to design, implement and manage employee benefit programs.
  7. Plans and manages annual 401k meetings financial coaching provided by vendors
  8. Manages benefits in payroll system that connect the two processes of payroll and benefits elections.

Your Profile

Key Skills

  • Proficient in various HR systems
  • Proficient to Expert level using ADP Workforce Now Benefits
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures related to benefits and related U.S. laws
  • Experience managing health and welfare plans
  • Strong expertise in MS Office
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • An analytical mind and good math skills
  • Knowledge of labor legislation

 

Your Background

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associates degree in business administration or related field or at least 5-10 years of experience in HR function with demonstrated progression of career
  • At least 5 years experience in managing health and welfare plans
  • At least 5 years of experience managing retirement plan(s) 401(k)
