About the position


For the Materials and Surface Technologies Healthcare Team within the Technology and Innovation Department of Datwyler, we are looking for an additional team member in order to strengthen the team with analytical expertise.  Within the Materials and Surface Technologies team Healthcare we focus on the development of new materials and coatings to boost further our existing business within Medical and Pharma and to drive innovation into new, global markets.
 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Perform investigational and analytical work on materials to support new compound and coating development work as well as supportive activities related to Quality and Operations. 
  • Organize analytical work in the field of raw materials, rubber compound materials as well as on final products
  • Develop new analytical test methods internally and externally 
  • Communication with external laboratories, test institutes and consultants
  • Evaluation and interpretation of analytical results together with the Materials and Surface Technologies Team Healthcare 
     

Your profile

 

  • Profound knowledge in analytical chemistry (PhD or Master’s degree in chemistry or physics)
  • Profound knowledge and practical experience in instrumental analytics (GC-MS , LC-MS, FT-IR, XRF,…. )
  • Ability to develop new methods and writing out complete test protocols 
  • Ability to coordinate projects with internal and external parties 
  • Good communication skills in English
  • You will be based out of the Alken office
