Category Manager Raw Materials – Fillers & Minerals 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead supplier price and contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and conditions
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives across assigned categories
  • Establish and maintain a strategic supplier panel to ensure long-term supply security
  • Share relevant market insights with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
  • Organize and conduct regular business review meetings with key suppliers
  • Ensure competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms through strategic sourcing
  • Draft, manage, and ensure compliance with supplier contracts
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs), with a focus on cost management and supplier performance
  • Build strong supplier relationships and secure long-term contingency planning
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to align procurement strategies with corporate objectives
  • Engage in active communication and negotiation with suppliers to achieve best-value outcomes

 

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or at equal level through experience; in-depth understanding and knowledge of the industry is a plus
  • Proven track record of over 5 years in the procurement or supply chain sector, with a strong emphasis on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cost-saving initiatives, achieving measurable improvements in efficiency and profitability
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex contract negotiations
  • Forward thinking, self-directed, capable of taking independent actions, and ability to take decisions that drive business performance
  • Project management skills to support procurement initiatives
  • Knowledge of computer software, including ERP systems and digital procurement tools
  • Fluent in written and oral English (Level C1), any other language is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 5-10%)
