Director, Global Quality Operations

The Director, Global Quality Operations is responsible for operational execution of quality activities across all manufacturing sites. This role ensures consistent implementation of the QMS, strong GMP compliance, effective issue management, and robust site-level quality performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Quality Leadership
    • Lead and coordinate Site Quality Managers across all locations.
    • Ensure consistent execution of QA/QC activities, GMP compliance, and product release.
    • Act as the primary escalation point for critical quality events.
  • Operational Quality Execution
    • Oversee deviations, CAPA, change control, complaints, and non-conformances.
    • Ensure timely, high-quality investigations and effective remediation.
    • Drive operational discipline and adherence to global quality standards.
  • Risk & Issue Management
    • Manage and escalate quality risks with financial, regulatory, or patient impact.
    • Ensure rapid containment actions and robust corrective actions.
    • Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and crisis management.
  • Performance Management
    • Own operational quality KPIs (e.g., deviations, complaints, CAPA effectiveness).
    • Drive site performance reviews and corrective action follow-up.
    • Ensure consistent application of quality tools and methods at site level.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology teams.
    • Support customer communication and regulatory interactions related to operations.
    • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on quality performance and risks.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in Quality leadership roles within regulated, multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Proven expertise in global QMS ownership, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (e.g. GMP, ISO, FDA, EU regulations) and audit/inspection readiness.
  • Demonstrated track record in quality transformation, harmonization, and process standardization.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills in a global matrix organization.
