Technical and Scientific Expert 

In this role you provide exceptional technical support to both internal business operations and external customers, encompassing implementing technical strategies, actively listening to customer needs, delivering timely solutions, serving as a knowledge hub for company products and services, and demonstrating industry-leading technical expertise through various channels and interactions. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent technical support to both internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Implement the technical strategy for assigned accounts and act as the key technical interface between customers and internal functions.
  • Listen to customer needs, collect relevant technical information, and translate insights into actionable input for business and product strategies.
  • Lead or support customer-specific projects and represent the Voice of the Customer in strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a knowledge center for Datwyler Healthcare Solutions’ products, processes, and services, and share expertise through high-quality reports and documentation.
  • Strengthen Datwyler’s technical credibility by delivering trainings, webinars, and conference presentations, and by engaging in industry networks and associations.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities, initiate improvement or innovation projects, and gather market and competitor insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure alignment with overall Business, Product, and Customer Strategies while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and technical excellence. 

 

Location and Travel

This position offers remote work flexibility (2 days/week), combined with regular presence at our office in Alken, Belgium (3 days/week). Approximately 20–30% travel is required, including attendance at conferences, trade shows, and customer visits. You should be comfortable with both domestic and international travel and have an affinity for attending targeted events to expand your network within the industry.

 

What We're Looking For

  • A Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding and technical knowledge (products, processes, materials) of the assigned subject area.
  • Good knowledge of domain specific legislation, standards, rules and procedures.
  • Curiosity and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Fluent communication skills, verbal and written in English, any other language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
