Job Summary
Enterprise Architect defines, develops, and oversees the organization’s IT architecture strategy. As a heavily SAP-based manufacturing company, the Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in optimizing our SAP ecosystem while ensuring alignment between the organization’s business goals and its broader technology framework.
This leadership position requires a highly skilled and visionary individual with a strong understanding of enterprise systems, particularly SAP solutions, as well as emerging technology trends and business processes. The successful candidate will create a unified technology roadmap that supports scalability, innovation, and operational efficiency.
The role reports to Datwyler's CIO and interacts with Executive leadership, Business Unit Leaders, IT partners and vendors, peer groups in ICT.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture Development:
• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with SAP-centric strategies and business objectives.
• Define technology standards, principles, and guidelines with a focus on SAP integration and optimization across the enterprise.
• Design scalable, secure, and efficient architectures that accommodate current and future business needs.
SAP Optimization:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and enhancement of Enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Collaborate with business units to optimize SAP modules for manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and HR processes.
• Ensure seamless integration of all enterprise systems and emerging technologies.
Technology Roadmap:
• Develop and implement a technology roadmap that modernizes legacy systems, integrates emerging technologies, and supports digital transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage innovations to drive business efficiency.
• Ensure interoperability and scalability across SAP and non-SAP platforms
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Partner with IT, business units, and external vendors to deliver strategic projects.
• Serve as a key advisor to leadership on SAP capabilities, technology trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Build strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment of solutions with business needs.
Governance & Compliance:
• Establish governance processes to evaluate and prioritize IT and SAP initiatives based on strategic value and ROI.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Monitor and mitigate architectural risks across the whole enterprise ecosystem.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Provide technical guidance to IT teams, including SAP consultants and developers, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization
Your Profile
Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems integration, or technology leadership.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT systems and solutions.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, BTP) and hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in software development methodologies, integration technologies, and API management
• Experience with ERP, CRM, HR, Finance and manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, and blockchain.
