Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Job Summary: The shipping clerk manages daily freight movement and provides support to our vendors as well as our internal and external customers. This position coordinates and ensures efficient and cost-effective transportation services in order to guarantee critical delivery deadlines and customer requirements, specifications, policies, and procedures.

Reports To: Shipping Supervisor
Essential Job Functions:
- Verify shipping documents to ensure proper materials are staged and loaded for transfer per customer specifications.
- Coordinate and document shipments with couriers and maintain internal documentation for third party processing.
- Pack finished product according to sales order.
- Process incoming shipments in SAP.
- Processing bill of ladings and shipments using UPS, FedEx, DHL and Crane.
- Adhere to documented standard operating procedures and processes.
- Operate forklift to load/unload trailers with finished goods and raw materials.
- Operate shrink wrap machine.
- Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and maintain organization of department.
- Distribute checked packages to appropriate departments.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform daily housekeeping in the warehouse to ensure a safe, clean work environment.
- Visually inspect parts while bagging for final shipment.
- Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment/materials properly.
- Adhere to all HSES procedures and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job-related tasks as needed.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Physical Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years warehouse/shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Must have excellent work habits, including willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Must have strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency of Microsoft Office.
- Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, and be detailed oriented as well as reliable.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
