Main tasks
  • Manage and lead the Development Team to Innovation
    • Manages the team and the financial resources to develop innovative products and solutions
    • Develops innovation and quality through a scientific approach, while taking market and technology trends and “Voice-of-the-Customer" brought in from Category Managers into account.
    • Plans budgets and timelines and makes sure that targets are met.
    • Refines and implements the development stage gate process and ensures compliance.
    • Implements “state of the art” design methodology to allow creativity and innovation.
    • Project leader for Development and improvement projects
    • Coordination with R&D Team in Taicang under the lead of CM
  • Support production through Process Engineering
  • Lead of new materials and technologies projects
    • Maintains a good, up-dated level about new materials and technologies related to the business
    • Strong cooperation link to material specialists (DKA) 
  • Lead in a changing environment
    • Is well aware of market trends and company strategy
    • Adjusts the team to strategy needs and requirements
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Development and Process Engineering Group
    • Project coordination incl. prioritisation, staffing and time management during the design and the manufacturing implementation phase
    • Personnel management including skill assessment, qualification and performance appraisals
    • Cost-Center responsibility, budget preparation and forecast, active cost controlling
    • Direct contact to standardisation committees, production-department, quality-department and category manager / KAM to understand markets and customer needs
    • Activity Reporting to CM and within organisation
    • Improvement of PLCM process in cooperation with DCE organisations
Requirements

Leadership and personnel management skills and track record.

Knowledge in PLC-processes and methodologies (stage-gate; design thinking etc.)

Profound technical experience to analyse existing products/ materials and processes towards introduction of cost savings, functional improvements and new processes.

Experienced in project management and project tracking

Acquainted to system-modelling (Matlab, Timing Analysis, Labview, FMEA, PFMEA, etc)

Used to conduct failure/customer complaint analysis as third level support by using systematic analysis tools (FMEA, Fishbone, Decision Matrix, etc.)

Understand the implications of design alternatives on markets, customers and applications

Firm in cable and harnessing related state of the art and new technologies, production methods and materials

Czech – native speaker

English - advanced
