Goal
The Utility Engineer is responsible for the safe and smooth operation and maintenance of the utility systems like- HVAC’s, Air compressor, Chillers, Electrical panels, HT/LT line, DG set, UPS systems, BMS system, Lighthouse Systems, MHE’s, cooling tower, building maintenance, etc.
Responsibilities
- Provide uninterrupted and stable electrical supply by maintaining HT & LT electrical installations in safe & healthy condition and maintaining the Utilities like- HVAC’s, Air compressor, Chillers, Electrical panels, DG set, UPS systems, BMS system, Lighthouse Systems, MHE’s, cooling tower, building maintenance, nitrogen system etc
- Achieve optimal Utility system operational efficiency by developing & maintaining the utility systems.
- Maintain Electrical/Mechanical systems by establishing and enforcing ongoing maintenance schedules and procedures scheduling repairs, and coordinating shut-downs and installations.
- Provide Electrical/Mechanical engineering recommendations and technical support on engineering reviews and projects.
- Analysis of all Utilities operation to run as on Optimum efficiency, analysis of daily Utility generation, consumption & control cost of Utilities generation.
- Explore & implement energy saving aspects in the existing operation system.
- Maintaining optimum stock of critical spares at all time.
- Ensure zero breakdown, root cause analysis of breakdowns, Eliminate repetitive maintenance issues & modification activities as to ease the operation.
- Planning & execution of shutdown jobs as per plan requirement.
- Manage a team of Electricians & Technicians & groom them for effective operation & maintenance.
- Coordination with vendors for timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Develop preventive / predictive maintenance schedules for all electrical/Mechanical equipment to optimize the downtime and efficiency and coordinate the team to strict adherence to the plan.
- Enforce all safety procedures:-
-Serve as Electrical Safety Officer
-Manage and coordinate all the safety systems like JSA (Job Safety analysis).
- Enable effective communications between maintenance, engineering, production and quality department.
- Maintain a clean work place in accordance with 6’s protocols.
- Suggest and implement cost saving ideas and cost reduction techniques regarding energy consumption, machine efficiency, technical downtime.
- Manage and coordinate the legal requirements with respect to industrial power requirements, safety compliances and statutory requirements.
- Support to the implementation of the ISO 45001.
- Maintain EHS-related documents & quality records as per cGMP & ISO practices.
- Investigate all EHS & QC events/accidents/incidents and observations at sites and implement CAPA.
- Assisting the EHS team in the fulfillment of all Legal & statutory compliances related to EHS & maintaining a safe working environment.
- Raise safety & health awareness through various promotional activities, and improve safe work practices & culture
- Coordinate, follow-up, and control the Contractor Safety Management through work Permits.
Profile
- BE/BTech/Dip. In Electrical Engineering, 05 years in experience in the manufacturing industry. (Electrical Engineer).
- BE/BTech/Dip. In Mechanical Engineering, 05 years in experience in the manufacturing industry. (Mechanical Engineer).
- Hands-on experience in statutory compliance like, Annual Electrical HT inspection and Annual Goods lift inspections.
- Hands-on experience in Quality control compliance like, Area validations, system validations etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, timeline-driven environment.
Country specific section
- Degree/Diploma Engineering Certification from Govt. recognized institutes.
- Electrical Supervisor License holder by Maharashtra Govt.
