Position Summary

Ensure correct levels of inventory in line with the Product Demand Plan, purchased at optimum cost prices, considering Category Margin and Company TCO requirements.
Commercial ownership of suppliers in selected Supplier Tiers

  • Placing, amending and cancelling Purchase Orders
  • Ensure correct product inventory levels to meet Demand Plan
  • Negotiation and ownership of product cost prices, MOQ’s and lead times for selected Supplier Tiers
  • Vendor compliance ownership for selected Supplier Tiers
Responsibilities
  • Check Purchase Requisitions daily to establish products requiring ordering
  • Achieve optimal purchase prices for products to be ordered
  • Ensure product ROP’s in line with Demand Plan, and NPI and promotional demands are also proactively responded to and supported
  • Place Purchase Orders with suppliers
  • Amend or cancel PO’s in line with current Demand Plan, respecting supplier rules
  • Maintain SAP Master Data for cost prices, MOQ’s and lead times
  • Managing the distribution and sourcing of products between warehouses, ensuring optimisation of set up for MOQ and price, and interwarehouse shipment volumes
  • Own vendor compliance for such as invoice queries, O-T-D
  • Negotiate and/or execute contractual inventory cleanse / rotation entitlements
  • Support both Purchasing and Supply Planning teams as a point of escalation
  • Where required, negotiate MOV and/or MOQ’s to improve commerciality
  • Regularly communicate to key stakeholders all relevant updates
Education
  • High school degree
  • Commercial Apprenticeship
Experience/Industry Knowledge
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a purchasing role
  • Very good knowledge of Excel/MS-Office
  • Good SAP knowledge preferable but not essential
