Role Summary

To develop a competitive Own Brand product assortment across a range of technologies core to the divisional product strategy

  • Create a product sourcing roadmap (NPI strategy) in line with all stakeholder businesses to drive market share and margin growth
  • Browse existing assortment and monitor markets and technologies, establishing own brand opportunities for own brand products
  • Drive supplier selection and commercial negotiations
  • Own product lifecycle from introduction through to end of life, ensuring necessary actions to maintain product compliance and replace obsolete products are implemented
  • Shared responsibility for the sales, margin and inventory performance of the assigned technologies
Tasks/Responsibilities
  • Product sourcing (mainly Asia) in collaboration with our Chinese subsidiary, following the defined sourcing process and in line with the own brand strategy
  • Responsible for the planning, sourcing and the product lifecycle management of the assigned product categories
  • Analyze product assortments of each of the TeCo businesses and present product recommendations to replace or complement existing assortment with own brand products
  • Define the initial order quantity in alignment with the PM’s of all TeCo businesses, recommend the right stock levels for each business and set up product distribution (intercompany)
  • Marketing: Coordinate product branding and provide marketing material to all TeCo businesses
  • Ensures product compliance in collaboration with Q&L
  • Provide businesses with fit-for-purpose product data and images for relevant products
  • Pricing: define price structure for NPI, ensure price competitiveness by benchmarking against competition and providing competitive intelligence to the Pricing Team
  • Create cross-reference list to A-brands and competitors own brand on a product level
Education
  • Degree in a relevant technical area (electrical engineering etc.)
  • Completed apprenticeship in relevant technical area

 

Experience/Industry Knowledge

Essential: Level of relevant (technical) product and market knowledge in any or all of the following: Electromechanical components, Automation, Test & Measurement devices, Single-Board computing

Desirable: Relevant industry experience

                 Understanding of modern digital marketing techniques

                 Proficient in the use of ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint)
