Position Overview

The Knowledge Manager plays a critical role in capturing, organizing, sharing, and leveraging knowledge with the TSS Team. This position ensures that institutional knowledge, technical expertise, and industry standards are effectively managed to improve processes, innovation, and compliance within a highly regulated environment.

This role is pivotal to ensure that product knowledge is effectively utilized to support the Sales process, maintain compliance, and enhance operational efficiency with the objective to effectively support Internal and External customers.

In this high visibility, high impact role within Datwyler Healthcare, the Knowledge Manager (KM) will collaborate with a global, cross-functional team. As a member of the Technical and Scientific Services (TSS) Team, the knowledge manager position can be based in US or EU and will report into the Global Head of TSS. The TSS team is a global, customer-facing team that works alongside Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to realize the business objectives of Datwyler Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a Knowledge Strategy
    • Develop and implement KM strategy to capture, share and manage organization knowledge that can be leveraged for better business outcomes.
    • Align KM activities with the organization goals.
  • Enhance Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Within Datwyler’s Healthcare business unit, work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Quality & Marketing to facilitate knowledge sharing and prevent silos.
    • Promote a knowledge-sharing culture across teams and regions.
    • Work cross-functionally with the Marketing, R&D and Product Management teams to organize customer reports, scientific publications, and regulatory updates.
    • Mitigate risks associated with knowledge loss during staff turnover.
  • Content Creation, Content Management and Training
    • Lead content creation of data packages, technical pitch decks, case studies and create compelling value proposition presentations through cross-functional collaboration.
    • Listen to the customer and the business to identify gaps with available scientific and technical information, and initiate data generation with relevant cross-functional teams. Manage content lifecycle, including acquisition, validation, storage, and retirement.
    • Conduct training sessions on generated content and KM systems for customer-facing teams, globally.
    • Be aligned with Business Strategy, Product Strategy and Customer Strategy

  • Knowledge Repository Management
    • Design and maintain systems to store, organize, and retrieve critical information, such as customer presentation and documentation, research reports, product support information and regulatory information.
    • Ensure all repositories are up-to-date, searchable, and accessible.
  • Adoption and Integration of Technology
    • Utilize knowledge management tools (e.g., SharePoint, MS Lists, MS Apps, notebooks, or bespoke KM platforms) for effective information sharing.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies such as AI, ML, and data analytics to enhance KM processes.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement
    • Measure the effectiveness of KM initiatives using KPIs and feedback.
    • Continuously improve KM systems and practices to align with evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and processes is essential.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging is desirable.
  • Exposure to drug development lifecycle, and regulatory documentation.
  • Expertise in knowledge management platforms, database management, and collaborative tools.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills to foster collaboration across departments.

Location and Travel

  • This position can be based in US or EU.
    • For US: Resides within driving distance of NYC, Philadelphia, or Delaware
    • For EU: Resides in Belgium or Germany
  • Willingness for business travel for meetings (~15%)
  • Comfortable with international travel
