Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of their testing to ensure the quality of finished products.
Responsibilities
- The Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.
- The Laboratory Technician’s overall responsibility is for testing, releasing and performance of raw materials for Rubber & Aluminum.
- Water System Monitoring: will conduct appropriate testing on site’s water systems to ensure microbiological cleanliness requirements are met on a daily basis.
- Cleanroom Environment Monitoring: will conduct appropriate testing to ensure that the cleanliness level of the surfaces and air within the site’s cleanrooms.
- Testing: will be responsible for conducting testing on the water system to ensure cleanliness requirements are met. This position will also conduct testing to ensure surfaces and air are at correct level. This position will also be responsible for performing chemistry related testing on raw materials, sample tests and releasing batches according to SOPs.
- Finished Product Evaluation: will be responsible for lab equipment purchases and validations of lab equipment. This position will also conduct special tests or experiments as needed including bioburden, endotoxin, and particulate testing, swell, coring, fragmentation, penetration force, moisture analysis, volatile sulphides, percent ash, and UV absorbance.
- Reporting: will prepare technical reports and trends.
Your Profile
- Minimum of a high school diploma/ GED. An Associate’s degree in Biology, Microbiology or other related scientific field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory environment preferred
- The ideal candidate will have regulatory or Pharma with clean room (ISO 7 or better) experience
- Excellent PC skills including MS Office and SAP
- Knowledge of statistic and related software (e.g. Minitab) is preferred
