Finance Director IS, US

Overview

As the Finance Director, you are a trusted partner to the business, steering business decision-making, prioritization and resource allocations. You enable long term, profitable growth of our business  and optimized value for our customers. In your capacity, you will lead the Finance Teams of several US production sites, in California, Texas and Louisiana. You report into the Site Director of the Site in California.

Your Responsibilities

  • As Finance Director, you enable our strategic objectives, through creating understanding within the business for the drivers behind financial performance; identifying strategies for revenue growth, cost savings and cash improvements; and driving implementation
  • You support critical decision-making and prioritization of limited resources, through fact-based analysis, actionable insights, business cases, end to end value stream analyses and internal control systems
  • With your team you execute period-end (month and year) closings according to group reporting requirements (Swiss GAAP), local GAAP (statutory requirements)
  • You have a strong local and national US taxes background and have experience in working with tax consultants and the IRS
  • As member of the site leadership team, you drive value creation through investment effectiveness and operational efficiencies, whilst observing and safeguarding the highest levels of compliance as a non-negotiable

Your Profile

  • You have a university or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, and minimally 10 years of work experience in leading a manufacturing Finance organization
  • You have a strong understanding of the markets we are playing in
  • You are self-driven and have a strong delivery orientation
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are curious
  • You build trustful relationships allowing you to challenge the business
  • You are able to effectively inspire, mobilize and persuade others
  • You are a good negotiator

  • You are able to convey the main story represented in the numbers in ways that the business understands
  • You have experience working in an internationally operating, dynamic, matrix organization
  • You are fluent in English; Spanish, or German, is an asset
