Key Account Manager

As a Key Account Manager you have the opportunity to contribute and deepen your innovative ideas in a specialized, future-oriented company at a crucial point. Your role enables you to work with various internal departments and external partners and suppliers. Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the support and further development of your customer portfolio in all commercial and technical matters
  • CRM "healthy" opportunity pipeline, activity and task management, and ensuring contacts are kept current as required
  • Success in the this role includes management and communication of the Key Account Plan, Consistent Key Account Meetings, an da deep industry understanding
  • Your area of responsibility includes the acquisition of new business and the further development of the existing product range
  • During the product development and creation process, you advise our customers in close cooperation with our experts from Engineering and Research and Development and create tailor-made and convincing offers
  • You continuously analyze the market conditions, the price levels, recognize trends, create strategies and contribute actively to the achievement of the operational goals as well as to the sustainable success of the company
  • You ensure communication and implementation of the offering strategy in the defined focus areas and implement the strategic goals for further profitable business growth in the general industry focus markets
  • You forecast quarterly for your assigned account package using IBP forecasting tool

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. University degree preferred
  • Minimum seven years' experience in technical sales fields, preferably in elastomer, thermoplastics, and/or metal products
  • Knowledge of the manufacture and application of elastomer and/or plastic products in required - preferably acquired in an industrial market environment or in a general industry
  • Ability to identify new opportunities in the general industry market and to close them with new and existing customers
  • Good analytical, technical and financial skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for cross-functional work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work from your home office and travel to customer visits, conferences and within Datwyler locations

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit as a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%

  • $125,000-130,000 per year based on experience
