The press operator - injection sets up and operates injection molding presses to convert uncured strips of rubber into cured parts.
Specific Duties
The press operator - injection performs these activities:
1. Completes daily time card.
2. Follows and signs work orders.
3. If required, completes work order changes.
4. Follows engineering instructions to complete process studies, pilot productions, and first articles.
5. Follows safety rules.
The press operator - injection may perform any of these operations:
1. Sets up an injection molding press.
2. Molds parts using an injection molding press.
3. Changes molding conditions if required.
4. Returns unused compounded material to mixing department.
Experience
Six months as a press operator - O-Rings or press operator - custom.
Must have a working knowledge of the molding characteristics of Parco's compounds.
Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent. Must read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements
Stands on concrete floor up to 10 hours. Loads molds into press weighing up to 200 pounds using handling equipment.
