The position

A Commercial Development Manager is needed to develop future growth in the US market.  The candidate for this position is therefore instrumental in analyzing market needs and developing new business opportunities into sales.

Areas of Responsibilities

Analyzing and developing business opportunities in the US market.  Calling on potential new accounts, networking, discovering implicit needs, quoting business and cashing in.  Visiting relevant trade shows, proposing trade show participation and organizing trade show attendance. Networking within the relevant medical organizations, R&D departments, equipment manufacturers, etc.  Analyzing market trends, market reports, etc.   Proposing product portfolio optimization, supporting new product launch campaigns, etc.  Tracking competition activities.  Developing medium/long-term business development plan for the region and/or specific potential customers.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Strong business focus and understanding of the sector.

• Solid relationship building skills to set up a dynamic network.

• Ability to identify and analyze opportunities.

• Capable of taking leadership in defining account strategies and the implementation thereof.

• At least ten years of professional experience in the healthcare sector in account management or business development, preferably in the context of a company selling products and services to the global healthcare industry.

• Experience in dealing with manufacturing and technical issues as well as R&D departments is an asset.

• Able to work both independently and as appropriate in partnership with business development, technical, R&D and marketing partners.


Academic qualifications: Science or engineering education preferred with strong business accumen and 5 years working in similar role or a business degree with 10 years experience in technical sales or similar work experience. 

The job requires frequent traveling throughout the region (up to 50 %). The candidate can work home based office. Team meetings will in most cases take place in Alken or Montegaldella, eventuall also in Pennsauken, New Jersey or other locations in the U.S. Internal meetings will take place in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
