Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling the day to day “order-process” flow for assigned accounts within Datwyler’s client base.  This includes processing orders, confirming orders or negotiating a middle ground with clients, communicating effectively and on a timely basis with clients, sales reps and internal customers.

Essential Functions

Customer Service (External)

Establish customer relationships in order to prepare and execute customer agreements

Implementation of customer service strategy in cooperation

Assist in the support of customer specific objectives

Processing of multifaced sample requests for assigned accounts

Customer visits as needed

Management of Customer Accounts in SAP

Ensures all customer data is up to date and accurate in SAP

Booking orders timely and accurately

Enter updated pricing

Provide support to the logistic teams as needed globally.

Compliance

In carrying out duties, ensures compliance with company policy

Enter quality complaints and response to customers

Customer Support (Internal)

Provides supports to internal clients as necessary

Support to Key Account Managers as needed

Support to Operations and internal departments as needed

Responsibilities

  1. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  2. Serve as primary point of contact on assigned accounts for customer support related questions.
  3. Plays active role in responding to customer needs & concerns.
  4. Provides support to various Key Account Managers as needed.
  5. Escalates concerns through appropriate department channels.
  6. Works in a collaborative team manner in order to support internal team and external clients.
  7. Process all purchase orders.
  8. Process multi-faced sample request for assigned accounts submitted by both internal and external customers. 
  9. Enter quality complaints and forward Quality Department response to customers as needed.
  10. Assists in the distribution of quality certificates for assigned accounts as needed by the Quality Department.
  11. Assists Logistics Globally in providing any shipping support as needed and maintaining OTIF goals dependent upon Datwyler Site.
  12. Complies with all safety rules and procedures, as well as good housekeeping within the plant, in accordance with SOPs, work instructions, and GMPs
  13. Punctual remote attendance during standard business hours.

Your Profile

You are a professional with a minimum of 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or in an account management capacity. You have demonstrated ability to deliver above average communication skills both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to perform regular duties with little or no supervision and are able to assess situations to determine next course of action. You are proficient in Microsoft applications with SAP experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Work conditions are those that are those present in normal office environment. The work of this position requires sitting as much as 80% of the workday, and using force to lift, push or pull up to  25 pounds.  Occasionally, the work requires climbing (portable ladders to get samples), balancing (when carrying boxes), and reaching (in Samples area of Warehouse).  Personal protective equipment must be worn where required.

VISION: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

HEARING: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
