Position Summary

The Toolroom Technician is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Essential Functions

  1. Performs troubleshooting, installation and upkeep of tooling equipment and machinery; making adjustments and changes to maintain quality and efficiency for production.

 

  1. Expected to adhere to all safety rules in accordance with SOP’s, GMP as well as federal, state and local safety regulations. 

 

  1. Regular attendance and punctuality required in order to meet production needs of customers.

 

  1. Expected to demonstrate our Company values and Code of Conduct.

 

  1. Periodically participates in department or quality team meetings. Suggests improvements and works alone or with others to implement improvements, as assigned.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Install, set-up and remove Dies for rubber operation to correct part specification
  2. Dismantles and reassembles molds and dies to proper working condition.
  3. Sharpen and chamfer dies
  4. Maintains required records for inspections, testing, maintenance and repairs of all molds and dies
  5. Troubleshoot trimmer / die problems

Your Profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School or GED equivalent required.

· 2 years minimum experience in machine shop role.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures

· Able to communicate goals in an inspirational manner that makes them worthy of pursuit

· Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.

· Performs basic computer skills

· Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs and other procedures.
