IT Quality Systems Expert

The IT Quality Systems Expert is globally responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise architecture solutions that support the Quality area within the organization. This role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the effective delivery, support, and continuous improvement of systems that support Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Regulatory Compliance.

This role is responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and managing system enhancements and integrations related to Quality applications such as eQMS, LIMS, CAPA systems and additionally it’s integration with the ERP system.  

  

Responsibilities

This role encompasses leading IT tasks in application implementation projects, providing ongoing application support, and acting as a key liaison between production/quality departments and the rest of the IT organisation; playing a crucial role in the process and scope definition of the relevant IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Implementation & Project Leadership:
    • Lead IT aspects of application implementation projects, including requirement analysis, solution design, and user training.
    • Manage the delivery of IT projects within the manufacturing and quality areas.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Application Support & Maintenance:
    • Provide expert application support, resolving incidents independently or coordinating with specialized teams.
    • Manage and implement application changes and updates.
  • Business Needs Analysis & Solution Development:
    • Engage with production and quality stakeholders to understand their challenges and requirements.
    • Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications/requirements.
    • Partner with IT teams to develop and deploy effective solutions.
  • Process & Technology Expertise:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of production and quality processes, as well as relevant IT technologies (SAP, LIMS, eQMS).
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • User Training & Support:
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency with IT systems.
    • Provide ongoing technical support and create comprehensive documentation.
  • Strategic Growth & Development:
    • Pursue continuous professional development to evolve into a senior IT expert for quality systems.
    • Act as an internal consultant for the business on IT solutions.

 

 

Profile

  • Master's degree in a scientific or technology-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Quality Management processes.
  • Expertise in business applications, specifically Labware LIMS, eQMS or SAP ERP.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, JIT, and process mapping and optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with system integration and data migration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new IT skills and functional application knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel when needed.
