JOB PURPOSE

•    The Solution Architect is responsible for the end to end solutions architecture.
•    Lead the architecture, design and technology governance of large, high availability infrastructure environments.
 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, development, implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture across multiple external service providers.
•The Architect needs to be proficient in AWS, DevOps, Nutanix and VMware product practices.
•Develop and documentation of AWS, Virtualization and DevOps architecture
•Document as-is state of environment, gap analysis, come up with options, recommendations
•This individual should have a broad understanding of infrastructure components (AWS, DevOps Tools, Linux, Server, Databases, Storage, backup and Networking).
•Strong technical knowledge of AWS, DevOps tools, VMware, Nutanix, Linux, Windows OS and Automation
•Experience architecting, deploying and managing RDS, EC2, EBS, snapshots, and FSx file sharing Understanding of AWS Multi-Account Strategy.
•Experience on tagging, cost allocations, reporting, and budgeting
•Participate in security reviews, audits, penetration tests, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and threat modelling
•Build a continuous audit solution to ensure adherence to security and compliance policies defined by for our central cloud services team
•Architect and design the setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines and support/resolve technical complexities to integrate various DevOps practices as part of a CI/CD implementation
•Recommend and implement automated means that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, problem resolution, automation and configuration management
•Keep up to date with the latest technologies and introduce them as needed
•Should be able to support day to day operation activity and ready to work in 24x7 environment.
•Interface with Solution management to develop, refine, and execute the Cloud first strategy and roadmap.
•Systematic and rigorous strategic analysis of architectural issues.
•Support, challenge and collaborate with external delivery partners.
•Capture the tactical and strategic business goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
•Enumerate, analyze, catalog, and suggest improvements to the strategic, core and support processes of the business unit, as needed, to support strategic and operational goals.
 

Skills,Technical Competences,Behaviors

•10+ years of overall IT experience working for a global organization
•5 + years of hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud architecture on AWS
•5 + years of hands-on experience working on DevOps tools
•Certification : AWS Certified Professional, AWS Certified DevOPS Engineer or DevOps related certification, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (Good to Have). VMware/Nutanix Certified
•Technical Skills : AWS Products, DevOps (CICD, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Python, Microservices) VMware, Nutanix, Linux, Windows, Databases, Network, Security 
•A consultative and pragmatic style of working and guiding others with the proven ability to be collaborative in decision making, together with the authority to be decisive and take the lead when required.
•Proven ability to translate and present complex architectural issues to non-technical colleagues and a good working knowledge of producing technology roadmaps and life cycles.
•They possess hands-on solution design skills and the ability to objectively quality assure 3rd party solution designs to ensure they meet business expectations.
•Ability to develop robust high level and low level technical designs and to ensure that what is built complies with those designs. 
•Proven experience working as an architect in an enterprise IT environment.
•Strong understanding of different cultural working patterns.
•Fluent in English.
•Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
•Bear personal responsibility and demonstrate quality awareness.
•Behave loyally and comply with rules, regulations and legal requirements.
