Head of Innovation


Within our Advanced Technology Development group, you are responsible to lead, steer and motivate a team focused on development and fostering of innovation in advanced technologies as sustainable, and core competence of the Datwyler Sealing Solution division. Based on your expertise and your technical skills, you are in charge of identification, initiation and coordination of innovation activities, as well as the creation of an innovation roadmap. You will also be responsible for the initiation and application of methods for technology trend research, idea scouting and related screening. Those activities will consider market and IP aspects as well.  You create, develop and maintain a network of internal and external experts to support the innovation process.


You have graduated as an engineer (master degree) in a technical area, specialised e.g. in mechanical engineering or innovation engineering and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. Based on your communication skills and your creativity, you are able to present innovation topics to the organization on different levels and to moderate innovation exercises and sessions. Next to the common knowledge of MS Office, you are familiar with relevant methods and tools in innovation, as well as with research techniques. Because of the international focus of the position, a certain willingness to travel is indispensable.

You like to carry out the tasks assigned to you independently and with initiative. Fluent English language skills is mandatory, German and or Flemish knowledge would be an additional plus.
