Innovation Manager (f/m)

Your responsibilities 


  • Implement and drive company wide innovation and ideation management process
  • Drive and lead company wide technology scouting activities
  • Execute the technology and market review studies and support technology development projects in new materials, processes or applications
  • Drive the global program for startup collaborations and engagement 
  • Build-up, develop and maintain professional network in the area of technology innovation in industry, universities, research institutes and within the organizations 
  • Lead innovation and ideation workshops internally and with customers
  • Support the upper management in process reporting, documentation and roadmap review 

Our requirements


  • Excellent academic track record (M.Sc. or PhD) in physics, materials or engineering
  • 3-5 years of work experience in corporate innovation and R&D, startup or innovation consultancy 
  • Broad technical knowledge and business understanding – affinity to one of Datwyler’s markets, pharma, medical or mobility an advantage 
  • Previous knowledge and experience with lean development principles, design thinking and agile methodologies 
  • Curious, result oriented, initiative and self driven character 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external network
  • Creative mindset with passion for innovation and technology
  • Ability to drive change and lead cultural transformation in a global organization
  • Openness to travel
  • Fluency in English (written and oral level C2), command of German or Mandarin will be an advantage
