Internship Business Continuity & Operational Resilience (f/m/d)

We offer an exciting internship opportunity within our Group Business Continuity & Operational Resilience program. This role provides hands‑on exposure to how an international industrial group strengthens its resilience, maintains continuity of operations, and ensures preparedness across multiple sites and functions.

You will work closely with Corporate, Divisional, and Site stakeholders, contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of our Business Continuity framework and supporting key governance and coordination activities.

 

Your responsibilities

As part of the Group Business Continuity team, you will support the enhancement and consistent application of our BCM framework. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing and maintaining BCM documentation by supporting the centralization of procedures, plans, and related materials in a structured repository.
  • Reviewing and aligning documentation with Group standards and recognized best practices to support harmonization across sites and functions.
  • Contributing to procedure updates by collaborating with the Group BCP Lead and site representatives to refine and standardize continuity and response procedures.
  • Supporting coordination and communication with sites, including preparing communications, tracking deliverables, and assisting in meetings, workshops, and alignment sessions.
  • Assisting with training and readiness activities, including the preparation of training materials and support during exercises, simulations, and follow‑up activities.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in Business Continuity, operational resilience, and cross‑functional program execution within a global organization.

 

Our requirements

We are looking for a motivated and structured individual with the following background:

  • BSc or MSc student (or recent graduate) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management & Technology, Supply Chain / Operations Management, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with documents, data, and structured processes
  • Clear and professional communication style, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented working approach
  • Confident user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluent in English (C1 level)
  • At the time of the internship, the intern must be enrolled at an university in Switzerland
