Your responsibilities

 

  • Development of new sealing materials through use of modern materials, unconventional material combinations, innovative surface technologies, concepts and ideas
  • Life cycle support and optimization of existing materials
  • Creation of a close and lasting customer contact to support running projects and initiate new ones
  • Support product development in all its stages as recognized material and surface technologies expert
  • Keep close contact with raw materials suppliers and monitor the market and the competition
  • Close cooperation and continuous interdisciplinary exchange with colleagues in engineering, development and innovation projects
  • Keep track of latest technical developments to identify relevant trends and innovations and translate them in internal innovation projects
  • Keep track of regulatory aspects for relevant fields (e.g. drinking water, food contact)
  • Document your work in project reports, protect your inventions by patents, and publish your research results in specialist publications, or in the form of presentations at conferences
  • Initiate and supervise cooperation with universities and research institutes

 

Our requirements

 

  • A university degree in natural science or engineering, in the field of chemistry, material science, plastic technology chemical engineering or similar 
  • Deep knowledge in the chemistry and technology of materials, preferably in the field of elastomers or thermoplastics
  • Knowledge in surface and interfacial chemistry, measurements and test technology of materials, as well as application of materials and analysis methodsConstructive team-player and driver of innovation
  • Committed, communicative and well organized person with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge in drinking water and food regulation is very welcome
  • Fluent in English (mind. level C1), German (level B2) and basic knowledge of Italian is very welcome
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, conferences and trials in other plants
