Your responsibilities


  • Technical project lead and support in material (e.g. aluminium, lacquers) and food contact compliance related tasks
  • Creation of a close and lasting customer contact to support running projects and initiate new ones
  • Tracking of relevant changes in food contact legislations and preparation of compliance statements for our products 
  • Close cooperation with external laboratories, test institutes and consultants to fulfil our customer´s requirements
  • Keep close contact with raw materials suppliers and monitor the market and the competition
  • Close cooperation and continuous interdisciplinary exchange with colleagues in engineering, production, quality and procurement
  • Keep track of latest technical developments to identify relevant trends and innovations and translate them in internal innovation projects
  • Initiate and supervise cooperation with external partners like a.o. universities and research institutes

Our Requirements


  • A Master’s degree in natural science, for example in the field of food chemistry, chemistry or material science as well
  • Professional experience in food (contact) compliance is preferred
  • Knowledge in the chemistry and technology of materials, preferably in the field of aluminium and lacquers
  • Knowledge in migration tests, analytical methods (e.g. FT-IR, DSC, GC-MS) and their interpretation as well as surface and interfacial chemistry, measurements and test technology of materials
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, supplier meetings and conferences 
  • Be a constructive team-player, and a driver of innovation
  • A committed, communicative and well organized person, with the ability to work independently
  • Fluent written and oral skills in German and English (both Level C2), basic knowledge of French is very welcome.
