Mixing Technology Expert

Your responsibilities

•    Lead and execute R&D projects focused on mixing technology, overseeing the entire mixing process from idea conception to industrialization of rubber compounds
•    Lead and execute activities using mixing and material expertise to solve issues and perform improvements on the production of serial compounds 
•    Establish internal specifications for compound performance and mixing parameters
•    Design test methods and testing of materials focusing on rheological properties 
•    Support Operations and Quality teams across all Datwyler sites by improving production processes and rheological analysis
•    Provide technical leadership to mixing engineers and mixing lab
•    Improve and manage a network of internal and external partners, including development partners (academic or industrial) and suppliers
•    Collaborate on multifunctional core teams (R&D, engineering and advanced technologies) to successfully identify, develop, and launch new products
•    Support technology scouting and innovation activities

Our requirements

•    A degree as a Plastics Technologist EFZ or a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
•    Practical experience in the rubber industry as a compounder
•    Experience in scientific experimentation, data analysis, reporting and knowledge of measurement regarding mixing technology (rheometer, Mooney viscometer, RPA)
•    Willingness to travel globally to support other Datwyler sites
•    Experience with Advise, SAP and LIMS is an advantage
•    High level of commitment, sense of responsibility, and flexibility
•    Proactive, results-oriented, technically curious, well-structured, and a team player with the ability to work independently
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external networks
•    Fluency in German and English (both verbal and written); basic knowledge of Czech is an advantage
