Acting as the primary technical interface and trusted partner to customers after order placement, the role combines structured project leadership with hands-on operational coordination.
Your responsibilities
Drive Projects from Concept to Production
- Lead customer projects for high-performance elastomer sealing solutions from order intake to successful series production, ensuring smooth execution across prototyping, process validation, production ramp-up, and final operational handover.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications while maintaining the highest quality and performance standards.
- Plan and steer project activities, coordinate technical trials, and manage milestones, resources, and costs throughout the realization phase.
Be the Trusted Link Between Customer and Operations
- Act as the main technical contact for customers, building trusted relationships and ensuring clear, professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, operations, and sales to ensure efficient collaboration and operational readiness.
- Proactively support customers and internal stakeholders in resolving technical challenges and driving successful project outcomes.
Shape Quality, Performance, and Continuous Improvement
- Apply APQP, FMEA, and validation methodologies to identify risks early, ensure robust processes, and meet customer quality and tolerance requirements.
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing resources, monitoring project performance, and balancing efficiency, profitability, and high-quality deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned, enhancing processes, and contributing strategic and technical expertise to long-term business success.
Our requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Polymer, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally within the automotive supplier or rubber manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of product realization and rubber manufacturing processes, including molding, post-molding, and validation. Solid understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and proficiency in core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC.
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical customer projects in parallel, including planning, milestone tracking, budgeting, resource coordination, and risk management. Strong execution discipline with full ownership of project delivery from concept through industrialization and series readiness.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to act as primary customer interface in an international environment. Experienced in coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, operations, and sales to ensure efficient, aligned execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Highly structured and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Fluent English (C1) required; good German (B2) is a strong advantage.
