How you spend your time:
- Manage Structured Cabling Projects from beginning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
- Taking a lead role in planning, coordinating, and facilitating structured cabling projects through completion.
- Responsible for maintaining active project plans and maintain project budgets and profitability.
- Collect data and document test results.
- Perform design review and update plans and “as-built” drawings accordingly.
- Work with Supply Chain to give inputs towards optimizing resource management and forecasting resource requirements.
- Develop design/construction documents, project budgets, customer proposals, coordination with system vendors, monitor and inspect work performed.
- Create and present management reports on project status and outcomes
- Responsible for providing expertise and maintaining product evaluations on competitive product offers and acts as a main customer contact on product requirements.
- May require to lead new product development and be part of technology and product roadmap development.
- Have full understanding of existing portfolio, cost positions for all product variables and total understanding of customer price points.
- Supports Sales team (domestic and APAC exclude China) for product related requirements when selecting sales/distribution channels to target markets and customers.
- Participates in development of sales and marketing materials, brochures, data sheets, catalogues where additional technical expertise is required.
- Mitigates risk on behalf of the company
What will make you successful:
- 5+ years’ experience in the telecommunication cabling industry
- Proven experience in structured cabling systems for Voice, Data, Video, Outside Plant, BMS, and Audio-Visual Systems.
- Expert ability in reading and understanding telecommunications drawings and plans
- MS Office and MS Project proficient
- Have good communications and people skills in dealing with client, vendors, and co-workers
- Collaborative; to carve leverage and teamwork internally
Educations
- Diploma or Degree; Engineering discipline
- Recognized Industrial certificate/s is a plus
- Knowledge of applicable codes and BICSI standards
- RCDD Certification is not required, but preferred.
