Process Engineer
In this role, you will play a key part in managing the complete costing process, from RFQ initiation to final cost finalization, while developing innovative production and tooling concepts in close collaboration with production and tool shop teams. You will contribute directly to successful product realization by combining technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Costing & Concept Development
- Manage the full RFQ and costing process from initial request to final cost calculation
- Develop production and tooling concepts in close alignment with production and tool shop teams
- Create and evaluate new manufacturing concepts to support efficient and competitive solutions
- Finalize cost calculations and ensure accuracy and feasibility of proposals
Tool Management
- Coordinate with tool shops during both the RFQ and realization phases
- Support tool optimization during prototype and serial production phases
- Negotiate with tool suppliers and tool shops to ensure optimal technical and commercial outcomes
- Manage tool ordering processes, including time tracking and SAP administration
- Set up and maintain tool-related SAP data
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tool management, tool design, or cost engineering.
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Experience with product realization and industrialization processes
- Professional proficiency in Excel
- Good knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD tools
- Knowledge of rubber production processes and finishing technologies
- Basic understanding of rubber materials
- Basic project management knowledge
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Open, proactive, and professional communicator
- Self-driven and capable of working independently
- Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach
