Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Generate machine shop drawings for components built in-house, using extrapolated data from vendor tooling files.
• Distribute drawings to vendors, customers and internal departments as necessary.
• Maintain a database of all hard-copy drawings and CAD files, including revision levels and controlled copy distribution locations per TS16949 guidelines. Will further develop this system to improve recording accuracy, along with clarity and congruity of guidelines to daily practice.
• Revise vendor drawings to reflect changes made in-house so that future iterations of tooling and components incorporate these changes as original equipment.

• Provide assistance and support to Tooling, Maintenance, Sales, and Production departments.
• Reviews and defines customer drawings in conjunction with Tooling Manager. 

• Interface with customers regarding part and mold designs and support sales.
• Provide quotations on estimated tooling costs, mold designs, layouts, etc.
• Write purchase orders for molds and other tooling.
• Utilizes Solid Works and AutoCAD
• Works with Process Technicians to maintain, review, and revise, as necessary, processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness for all aspects of operations
• Reviews work order and procedural manuals to determine dimensions of design.
• Participate in Continual Improvement teams and promotes quality and the standards of TS16949.  Maintains engineering files.
• Works closely with Datwyler internal tooling and outside mold shops to ensure the best mold design and build possible to help achieve a goal of zero rework.
• Follows up on all projects to ensure continual improvement and progression of plans to defined schedules.
