Summary/ Objective

The Project and Investment Manager is responsible for the technical aspects of Datwyler Pharma Packaging USA sites (Middletown, DE and Pennsauken, NJ) with the different services below:

Essential Functions - Project and Investment Management

  • Identifies, plans and directs engineering projects and monitors status to ensure timeliness of completion (capital investment, process, quality, continuous improvements and safety)
  • Interact with key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Derive tasks and resources needed for successful project execution
  • Develops and maintains detailed schedules and project plans
  • Devise and implement recovery strategies for overdue tasks and deliverables
  • Analyze project critical path and risk assessments to deploy risk mitigation strategies
  • Leads global investment projects for local teams
  • Develops and manages local investment / capital expenditures (CAPEX) budget
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management

Your ResponsibilitiesaAdditional Responsibilities

  • Ensure the site is compliant with the department's requirements by identifying the requirements (regulatory, corporate, and normative) applicable to the site, in terms of project and transfer and analysing the gaps and implement appropriate action plans
  • Provide technical support for Operations, Sales & Technical Services
  • Ensure the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Quality System in its department
  • Develop a department budget and submit it to management for approval & tracking the budget periodically and reassess it on fixed periods by updating assumptions
  • Anticipate the organization of the department based on long-term forecasts, strategic directions of the company and the needs of its customers
  • Establish the department's dashboards based on information from direct deferrals and analyse departmental indicators to identify deviations or deviations from the guidelines set and/or areas for improvement (Hoshin-Kanri)
  • Consolidate and validate applications related to the CAPEX site
  • Develop and update the site's master plan for site infrastructure & ensure the study and implementation of engineering projects

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, judgmental and problem solving skills
  • Great understanding of all financials related to project management such as forecasting, budgeting, cost estimation, building business cases, ridged scope management
  • Knowledge of complex project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
  • Experience dealing with government agencies and standards in area of expertise
