Senior Director Product Lines

As Senior Director Product Lines, the key purpose is to support the commercial organization to both win new business and maintain and improve existing business profitability. This is a new position and you will be tasked with creating a new self sufficient team capable of developing innovative and profitable solutions for our customers from initial concept through to serial production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forming a cross-regional team with capabilities to partner customers from solution design through to mass production, and developing this team into a high performing unit
  • Lead the team in providing rapid assessments of new product feasibility according to our technical capabilities and strategic fit
  • Partner with and advise customers on specific topics related to their sealing solution needs
  • Partner with colleagues in other Datwyler Engineering Centers to ensure synergies and sharing of best practices
  • Develop a basis and methodology for cost calculations for new items and continually work to optimize this to ensure our competitiveness in the market whilst enhancing our profitability
  • Ensure the department offers exceptional customer service and meets all committed and expected timelines of our customers
  • Support and lead the team in specific projects
  • Assess the existing portfolios and implement new ideas to improve current processes to enhance profitability within this product segment
  • Lead program managers to ensure optimal outcomes from co-engineered projects
  • Work together with colleagues in Advanced Materials and innovation to optimize solutions for customers
  • Assess opportunities for automation within our O-Ring production facilities to improve competitiveness

Your Profile

  • Minimum 10-15 years in engineering roles, preferably with significant experience in O-Rings
  • Experience in driving change management
  • Track record of contributing to significant new projects and business wins and margin improvement work
  • At ease in front of customers and in developing win-win solutions
  • Dominant traits include self-confident approach, analytical mindset and a high level of persistency
