Position Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible to proactively manage the organization’s top customer accounts with the objective of maintaining and building effective relationships within all relevant departments.

Essential Funcrions

  • Customer Relationship Management Being the primary point of contact for your customer, guarantee an outstanding and reliable service experience for high level customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Portfolio Management Manage business and develop new business within the account portfolio utilizing Strategic Account Management and Market Strategy instruments, ensure a flawless collaboration and communications with all departments in the value chain. Negotiation of commercial agreements compliant with the segment’s targets.
  • Budget Setting and Achievement Setting budget targets and secure the achievement of budget figures portfolio by monitoring of KPI’s and Forecast Management.
  • Market Strategy Provide customer, market and competitor information, support the Head of Sales Diagnostics & Disposables in Strategy Planning and translate the strategy into market strategy by developing the Strategic Account Model (SAM-Plan) for your customer portfolio and execute it on focused action.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating revenue and margin at a level that is sufficient to drive growth and sustain profitability.
  • Take personal responsibility for reaching and exceeding stated activity and performance goals for new business, expansion of existing business, revenue, gross profit, etc.
  • Establish and maintain account plans and road map for each key account.
  • Planning and delivering sales targets.
  • Align product and services to customer needs and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships with all relevant departments (Purchasing, Marketing, Quality, Operations, R&D, etc.) establishing Datwyler Sealing Solutions as a strategic partner.
  • Negotiate price and contracts.
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish sales forecasts, budgets, and mid-range plans..
  • Complies with established Quality Management System Policies and Procedures; verifies work for accuracy to ensure quality of output

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience in the medical device or pharma packaging; robust knowledge of customer base and market as well as the cycles applied in drug and device development. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of marketing, sales and new business development processes is a plus. You love to solve problems, to perform research and to dive into new projects in order to exceed customer’s expectations. You provide good communication-, teamwork-, leadership- and project-management skills, strategic efficiency, proactivity, strong commitment and enthusiasm and you are willing to travel (70%) domestically within the US and occasionally overseas. You are a self-driven personality, motivated to achieve results.
