Purpose of the job and overall responsibility – Includes 4 most important tasks for the role

Distrelec, part of the Aurelius Group and served by Datwyler IT Services, is a leading European multi-channel distributor for electronic, and mechanical components, measurement technology and IT equipment. The successful applicant will be joining the team responsible for maintaining and developing Distrelec’s Website.
Responsible for working with the Digital Team and wider E-Commerce teams to help with the coordination of delivery of new functionality to the Distrelec Website and associated back-office systems, benefitting Distrelec customers and Business users responsible for supporting the E-Commerce process.
Work with Project Managers to run sprint ceremonies including daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives. Removal of blockers and coordination of meetings both internally and externally to ensure that all in flight development and testing is efficient as possible.
Work closely with BA team, POs and Head of UX and Digital Proposition to ensure work is clearly prioritised and ‘Ready’ ahead of sprint planning.
Use knowledge, experience and skills to take an analytical view of existing processes and suggest efficiencies that can be made with a keen eye for simplicity. Foster a spirit of agile collaboration across the team. Use reporting tools such as Jira in order to make data driven suggestions to track and demonstrate improvements
 

Education/Degree

Bachelor degree desirable

Requirements/detailed tasks

1) Facilitate all scrum ceremonies including stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews.
2) Work with wider team both internally and externally to ensure task readiness ahead of sprint planning
3) Contribute to status update reports that are shared with key business stakeholders
4) Management and escalation of risks relating to ecommerce delivery
5) Use knowledge and experience to recognise opportunities to become more efficient and work with team to implement that change
6) Coordinate content and timing of releases
7) Coach development team through any agile process improvements
8) Forecast deliverables based on sprint velocity
9) Understand and promote the idea of incremental and iterative delivery
 

Experience/Industry knowledge

Required:
Minimum of 2 years Scrum Master experience using Agile methodology.
Knowledge and experience of using Agile Business Analysis techniques to engineer requirements.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

 

Desirable but not essential:
Experience working in the E-Commerce industry, knowledge of the Hybris Platform would be ideal.
Experience of working with third parties and remote technical delivery resources.
Experience of using Jira or similar task planning tool.
