Advanced Technology Development Engineer (f/m)

Your responsibilities


  • Lead and execute technology development projects focused on future application and products 
  • Design of metal and polymer parts, prototyping and testing of product ideas and concepts
  • Design, maintenance and operation of measurement set-ups for performance test and functional prototype assessment 
  • Manage operational execution of the development and deliver results on time considering market needs, competitiveness, upscale-ability, intellectual property and profitability
  • Report development progress, demands and deviations to the stakeholders
  • Create and manage a network of partners for the developments (internal and external, development partners (academic or industrial), suppliers and subcontractors
  • Interact with customers and support commercial and business development activities in the area of new products and technologies 
  • Support technology scouting and innovation management activities 

Our requirements

  • Excellent academic track record (M.Sc. or PhD) in mechanical or mechatronics engineering
  • Knowledge of CAD and design of metal and polymer parts
  • Experimental background and previous knowledge in measurement design and set-up is a must
  • Knowledge in electronics, sensoric and software is a major advantage
  • Highly driven, technically curious, result oriented and initiative character 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external network
  • Creative mindset with passion for innovation and technology
  • Fluency in English (written and oral level C2), good knowledge of German will be an advantage
