Chemistry Lab Expert (m/f/d)

Your responsibilites
• Coordination and execution of analyses (incoming inspection, release process and requalification) required for raw materials, compounds and final parts
• Participation in activities related to surface treatment
• Supporting the elaboration of internal specifications and tolerance limits for raw material incoming inspection
• Development and execution of test methods according legal and customer standards
• Performing analytical methods for characterization of multi-component systems
• Elaboration and transfer of internal standards to other sites
• Execution of activities related to internal and external audits
• Execution of methodical failure analysis, including preparation of internal and external lab report
• Communication with external laboratories, institutes, universities and consultants
• Collaboration with multifunctional core teams (R&D, engineering and advanced technologies) to successfully identify, develop, and launch new products
• Supporting Operations and Quality regarding chemical and analytical tests methodology
• Elaboration, updating and improvement of work instructions for equipment and test methods
• Elaboration of technical reports including interpretation of results
• Active participation on innovative projects and meetings
• Providing innovative ideas, expertise and knowledge with integrity, speed and results oriented
Our requirements
- A degree as a plastics technologist EFZ or a bachelor’s degree in the field of chemistry
- Strong background in one or more of following fields: leadership or coordination in a chemistry laboratory, elastomers, thermoplastics, surface or analytical chemistry
- Proficiency in writing detailed technical reports
- Adaptability, constructive, team-player, open-minded, innovative, committed and well structured, with the ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in German for local communication, and in English being the company language
