Your responsibilities
- Leading the team with 20+ members of product, process engineers and project managers responsible for technical concepting and feasibility, development and launch of new products in Switzerland and Datwyler’s manufacturing sites around the world
- Ensuring excellence and supervision of technical execution, on time in full project delivery, adherence to costs and timelines and transparent reporting on the current product development as well as defined process KPI's
- Support commercial and business development activities in the areas of new products & technologies
- Communicate with a multi-disciplinary team and broad stakeholders (global technical team, business development, R&D material, regulatory experts, procurements, operations…)
- Building and maintaining strong teams and talent pipeline
- Contribute in strategy development and execution for the business unit and engineering team globally
- Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies for a future proof portfolio and organization
- Drive continuous improvement of end to end processes and establish effective knowledge management
Our requirements
- Excellent academic degree and track record in polymer, mechanical or industrial engineering or relevant fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leading technical teams and product realization in automotive industry. Experience with polymer materials, design and process is a major advantage
- Proven track record in leadership and building and driving successful teams
- Highly driven, technically curious, result oriented and initiative character
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external network
- Creative mindset with passion for innovation and technology
- Excellent command of language verbal and written in both German and English (both at least Level C1) is a must
