Site Director

with the the following most important tasks: 

1. Site strategy

  • Establish and execute a long-term site strategy, aligned with Datwyler strategy
  • Establish and achieve financial performance as per company OKR’s including financial and operational excellence targets (SQDCEP)
  • Setup targets for the site team contributing to the company OKR’s 
  • Deliver timely launches, quality products and on-time deliveries (in close cooperation with sales, engineering and operations)

2. Site Management

  • Responsible for all activities / business operations of a site
  • Drive profitable growth in close cooperation with all functional areas
  • Promote customer service mentality 
  • Maintain personal contact with key customer representatives relevant for the site or Datwyler 
  • Coordinate relevant activities between operational, engineering and sales teams 

3. Deployment Operational Excellence/DPS/Agility

  • Promote and deploy Operational Excellence/ DPS and Agility within own site
  • Improve on operational excellence and the maturity level of DPS 
  • Apply DPS Continuous Improvement for cost optimization/control, reduction of waste, improving OE a.o.
     

4. People development

  • Lead, coach and mentor the team to live the Datwyler values,  to embrace the leadership culture and improve employee satisfaction
  • Use the talent development tools to enhance skill levels, identify and coach talent. 
  • Ensure the talent pipe line for the site is secured
  • Foster a diverse and engaged working environment whilst  considering labour legislation and health & safety guidelines

 

Responsibilities derived from the most important tasks

  • Drive/implement the site strategy process 
  • Achieve site and team targets contributing to company OKR’s
  • Deliver the profitability and growth per set targets
  • Establish and deploy the resource plan needed to achieve targets
  • Build a culture of ongoing improvement
  • Deploy DPS / Agility in line with the global requirements 
  • Deploy best-in-class practices for the production processes of the site
  • Provide regular reports to the organization as per established operating mode
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders informed about the business plans and their progress 
  • Validate the site forecast
  • Ensure site compliance in view of EHS, quality standards, labour law, internal guidelines and regulations
  • Deliver the logistics and quality performance as per customer requirements
  • Approve cost calculations and strategic pricing for open opportunities
  • Represent the company in relationship with unions, authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Approve as per DOA’s: hiring, investments, purchases, quotes, etc…
  • Deliver on-time product launch and investment realization projects in close cooperation with all stakeholders
  • Act as a crisis manager for the key emergencies or designate the appropriate crisis manager
  • Lead and coach site team in their areas of responsibility
  • Create a self-learning environment where employees can reach their full potential 
  • Ensure industry leading engagement score of the site team

  • A proven track record of successfully managing a large organization
  • A high level of business awareness and acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong crisis management and conflict mediation skills
  • Able to work with diverse and international teams
  • Proficient in English
